When I was about halfway through creating this abstract piece, the title "The Lily Pond" kept popping up in my head, which is quite early on in the process for me. So, being a mainly intuitive painter, I just went with it and created this piece on 200gsm watercolor paper, with a lovely lily pond in mind.

Like most of my other work, the combination of colors, shapes and composition reflect how I "feel" and imagine myself being at the edge of the water, in this case a pond; sun out, the water calm and colorful lilies floating on the water
